•      Water Quality: Lake Preservation

•      High Water Mark: Don stated there is no new information on the High water mark. We will continue to work with town administrator.

•      SWWTP: No update

•      Weed Treatment: Doug stated that this year we treated a substantial amount of area. The areas identified around our lakes that were treated were an estimate of appx. $14,000.00. In addition to the treatment plan, with the increased motor activity around the lakes, this inhibited some new growth from forming. The QQLA received a $100.00 donation from a wind surfer who enjoys surfing in the lakes and wanted to contribute to the weed treatment.

•      Weed Treatment continuation: Don met with Carl regarding competitive bidding and weed treatment. The answer was a Yes, however, too late to complete this year. The water and wetlands were mentioned, and it was asked of Carl if we could do that, or Pond and Lakes. This depends if Carl is confident in continuing the collaborative effort with “Solitudes.”

•      Beaches: Jeff reported that South Beach was closed due to an increase of bacteria that was monitored and announced. The QQLA did not receive this information directly. Jeff and Don will work on communication regarding any future beach closures with the Board of health agent. The process will be Jeff will inform Bill and Don, who will then let Anne know for the newsletter/ correspondence to get out immediately informing the new information. There was no activities as scheduled previously on South Pond due to closure, but boat parade did take place on water.
