Russian Tea Cakes

  • 1 cup soft butter

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

  • 1tsp vanilla

  • 2 1/4 cup flour

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 3/4 cup finely chopped nuts

Mix together thoroughly the butter sugar and vanilla.  Stir in the flour salt and nuts. Chill dough.

Pre-heat oven to 400.  Roll into1 inch balls and place 2 inches apart on uncreased baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes.  Bake until set, but not brown. While still warm roll in powdered sugar, cool ad roll again.
