Minutes for QQLA Board of Directors Meeting

North Pond: (4) Anne Falvo, Bonnie Mosher, Chelsea Dietlin, Rich Sasdi

Call to Order: 6:35 PM

Minutes, Recording Secretary: (Anne) electronic approval received

Treasurer’s Report: (Bonnie) Accepted

➢    2026 Membership is currently 117

➢    Bonnie suggested we move 10K into high yield savings to beneMit from higher interest rate, a motion was presented and unanimously approved

➢    Membership Discussion

o  Rich has agreed to configure a membership thermometer to appear in our next newsletter

o  Don will provide an abutters list, which will eventually be used reach out and encourage non members to join the QQLA

New Business:

➢    Spring Fling (Marita, Don & Anne)

o  Email reminders are being sent, everything is in place. Volunteers to arrive at 4

➢    Earth Day Clean-Up (Don, Liz, Chelsea & Marita)

o  Scheduled for April 25th

o  Volunteers have been updated

➢    Tantasqua Pool:

o  Don reported that a meeting has been scheduled with the school to possibly incorporate a senior program into the pool schedule

➢    New Membership Form

o  Bonnie provided her new form, Bob suggested putting our mission statement on the back and it was agreed to keep the from to one page. Also discussed eventually have the form online and completed virtually, hope to put this in place with new website

➢    Norpondapus

o  Contest is complete and winners have been notiMied

o  Bonnie disagreed with Randy inMlating the numbers to match last years contest totals, a vote was taken and it was unanimously approved that we remain transparent and report the actual numbers for any and all future events.

➢    Porta Potties

o  The port-a potty funded by the QQLA has been removed and the state has put one in place. Bonnie will check accuracy of billing statement

➢    Participation Recognition Program

o  Bob presented a detailed explanation of his recognition plan. Examples of stickers and several questions were answered. Please see attached information for photos and complete details. The board unanimously voted to implement the plan at the member and family levels. Bonnie will provide Bob with the updated list of current members and he will mail out stickers and instructions with Bryan’s help.

Committee Reports:

➢    Water Quality: Lake Preservation

o  Weed Treatment 2026 Doug is in communication with Carl who has left TRC and moved to Wilcox and Barnum. We can expect one more bill from TRC. They will be transferring all the data to the new company and they will be completing the weed treatment moving forward. It is believed that the NOI (Notice of Intent) from Sturbridge is still going to be around 10K, this permit should last 6 years. Brookfield and East Brookfield typically follow Sturbridge’s lead.

o  SWWTP No update

o  Friends & Neighbors:

➢    New Website: Meg will head up a committee (Bonne, Anne & Randy) to review the new website design
